Michael Brown Enters the Ultimate Poker Challenge at Point Edward Casino on a Whim and Goes on to Wins the First Place!

The Ultimate Poker Challenge was won by Michael Brown of Belleville Ontario. He went on to win a grand total of $68,563 and acquired the first place. The poker tournament was held at Point Edward Charity Casino near Sarnia. It took place between September 20 to September 25, 2005. Brown had only been playing poker for a year when he decided to get into the tournament, on a whim. He read an advertisement for it and bought the last ticket in the sold out competition. He was among the 750 participants to compete in this event. There were a total of $465,200 worth of prizes in the event.
