The 2006 World Series of Poker will have 44 separate events. Players will compete through these events for the much sought after Poker gold bracelets. The Satellite and live action begins from June 25, 2006. The $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship Event starts from July 28, 2006. Harrah's announced that Rio will be hosting the Second Annual World Series of Poker Lifestyle show between July 27-30. The Super Satellite Schedule will take place everyday at 3.00 pm with a $230 buy-in. The $1060 buy-in Mega Super Satellites will begin nightly at 7 p.m. The Second Chance Tournament - $230 buy-in will take place daily at 5 p.m. whereas the $225 buy-in No-limit Hold'em tournament will take place every night at 11 p.m. Biz.yahoo reports:
Last year's World Series of Poker shattered all participation and prize money records for live poker tournament. the 45 events generated 32,341 player entries and more than $106 million in gross prize money.
