The World Poker Finals Champ will walk away with the biggest prize pool in the history of a World Poker Tour (R) regular season event. A record 783 players will be competing in the $10,000 buy-in. $5 million of the close to $8 million prize pool will be given away to the six final table players. The first place winner takes away more than $2million whereas the second place winner gets $1 million or more. The fourth season the WPT is continuing to make history. The money being awarded is doubled. Four of the six players will become a part of the WPT millionaire club. The club already has 29 members from four seasons. Prnewswire.com reports:
With sixth place paying more than $600,000 returning young gun poker sensations Alan Cunningham and Bill Gazes are certain to join the list. The next stop on the tour is the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Dec. 13-16.
