Virgin Poker was relaunched this week. A poker party at Sir Richard Branson's home in Holland Park. This internet room was a late entrant in internet gambling. But now it is cashing on the resources of Branson's business empire for its success. Using the resources of sister companies within the Virgin group, Virgin Poker will try to add new value to its player's experience. At the party, after the basic sales pitch had been made, champagne glasses were passed around. Along with the food, guests settled down in their allotted places, to play Texas Hold'em. From among about 50 players, the last man and woman standing, would win a weekend to Sir Richard's new digs in Marrakech. Business.guardian.co.uk reports:
Although a relative tiddler in online poker world, Virgin Poker believes it will shake things up thanks to benefits available from the company's other business. Players will be able to accumulate Virgin air miles and loyalty points that can be cashed in for Virgin products.
